Face Coverings
In short:
You do not need to wear a face covering while taking your class unless you wish to do so.
You will have to wear a face covering at all other times while at the studio e.g while walking to your class, while visiting the toilet, as soon as the class finishes until you leave the premises.
No bags are to be brought into the studio.
You must wait outside the building until the start time of your class, complete track and trace on your way in and go straight to your floor marker to start your class.
You must leave the studio immediately after your class as you will not be able to stay inside without a mask after the period of strenuous activity is complete.
For further information and details about why we have to insist on the points above please see our previous post; https://flamedancestudios.wixsite.com/website/post/returning-to-the-studio-adult-classes
Test, Trace, Protect
To help keep all of our customers safe, Flame Dance Studios will be participating in the NHS Wales Test, Trace, Protect programme.
Our NHS QR code can be found upon entering the studio (blue poster). If you do not have the NHS app then you will need to use our own Test, Trace, Protect QR code (yellow posters).
All customers, dancers and visitors must provide the information requested by the NHS Wales Test, Trace, Protect scheme. On arrival at the studio you'll be asked to enter a few details, enabling a tracing team to get in touch should you come into contact with an individual positive for Covid-19.
QR code signs can be located around and outside the studio which you can scan with your smartphone. Or, you can visit https://forms.gle/D36VGdYDigzWK2YJA and complete the form online.
We will maintain records of staff, customers and visitors to our premises for a period of 21 days. It will only be used to help trace people who may have been exposed to the virus, should an outbreak occur on our premises. We do not use any of this information for our own use. Please see our privacy policy for more information https://flamedancestudios.wixsite.com/website/privacy-policy
Social Distancing
As a business we are required to;
take all reasonable measures to ensure that a distance of 2 metres between all adults and older children is maintained on particular premises;
ensure that other reasonable measures are taken to minimise risk of exposure to the virus, in particular by limiting close face to face interaction and by improving hygiene; and
provide information to those entering or working at premises about how to minimise risk.
Each area of the building has strict limits on the amount of adults that it can hold. Floor markers will be in place throughout the building showing where you are able to stand/wait/queue/dance.
Dancers need to have a 2m space around them. Therefore there is a limit on the amount of dancers allowed in each studio and strict spacing in place. Floor markers will show where each dancer needs to stand and dance for the duration of the class.
Every class will need to be booked in advance to ensure that there is available space for you in the studio. You will not be allowed to join a class that is fully booked.
To avoid face to face interaction we suggest that the teacher faces the mirror when teaching so that they have their back to the dancers. As much as possible they should reduce their interaction and demonstration with the class face on.
See below where studio floor markers will be placed. Each dancer has a 2m radius space around them.
Currently the big studio can hold a max of 15 participants in accordance to alert level 3.
One Way System
In an instance where a class is scheduled after another class we will be operating a one way system at the studio. You will enter through the main reception (the black framed glass doors), enter the big studio to partake in your class. Once class is finished you will leave through the small reception (solid red door).
See diagram below.
Pre-attendance official symptom check
All customers, students and visitors must undergo a self-assessment for any COVID-19 symptoms before arriving at the studio.
Symptoms include;
a high temperature:Â this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
a new, continuous cough:Â this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste:Â this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
No-one should leave home to participate in a class if they, or someone they live with, is symptomatic - or suspects they may have been exposed to the virus. They should immediately self-isolate (as well as their household and extended household), follow the Welsh Government’s self-isolation guidelines, and apply for a Coronavirus test.
Upon arrival, as part of the Test, Trace, Protect form you will be asked if you have completed a self-assessment for COVID-19 symptoms. Entry can be refused to anyone who is unable to provide assurance that they have done so and that to the best of their knowledge it is safe for them to take part. Anyone refused entry on this basis will be instructed to immediately self-isolate and to follow the steps set out above.
Further lockdown - local or national
There may be a need for short notice changes/cancellations and closure due to the overall threat level or community prevalence of COVID-19.
